I spent nearly 15 years teaching meditation in yoga studios, correctional facilities, hospitals, and everywhere in between. And what I've learned is this: the people who think meditation "isn't for them" are exactly who it's for. You don't need the perfect life or the perfect cushion. You just need to be willing to sit down and practice lovingkindness—starting with yourself.
